James Cleverley's proposals to solve immigration problems. What's your take?

⚖ The Home Secretary, James Cleverly, has announced plans to deal with the increase in immigration numbers in the UK by spring of 2024. He believes that the total number of migrants admitted into the UK has reached an unacceptable record high and he has proposed the following:

✅ The minimum salary needed for skilled overseas workers to rise from £26,200 to £38,700

✅ To make changes to the Graduate route; it may be abolished altogether.

✅ Healthcare workers won't be able to bring family members to the UK.

✅ A review of the Shortage Occupation List with the intention of scrapping the 20% reduction in pay (treadable points).

✅ Minimum income for family (settlement) visas to increase from GBP 18,600 to GBP 38,700.

✅ Mass reduction of people eligible to move into the UK from last year's, 300,000.
